I can safely say that a good portion of Harry Potter fans have thought about showcasing the love they feel for the series in the form of a tattoo – I know I have. I want to show you minimalist and elegant options you have when it comes to Harry Potter tattoos, that you won’t regret in the future.
All of these tattoos are incredibly tasteful, in their own simple way. It’s always the safest way to go with a simple and meaningful tattoo when you do it for the first time, so I really think these designs are great for first timers!
“All was well” – I find this tattoo so peaceful. Not just for the meaning it has in Harry Potter, with it signifying the end of the Voldemort era and the rest of the characters’ lives away from danger and war. It can take on it’s own personal meaning to each of us. “All was well” are the words we all want to be the finishing sentence of our own stories.
This is one of my favourites – because not a lot of people will understand it, which makes it so subtle! And so aesthetically appealing too. This tattoo is representing Sirius Black’s wand. It’s a really beautiful idea, to honor one of my favourite characters.
Brave at heart – for all of you Gryffindors out there, this is the perfect tattoo.
I adore this design and concept. It’s great for a couple or for best friends who want to get tattoos together. You will always be linked by this ink. Any tattoos done together by couples have a way to melt my heart – it’s incredibly sweet, someone forever keeping something that’s linked to you on their skin.
These are two other designs that are really sweet for both couples or friends. The first one is especially heart melting! “Until the very end” is one of my favourite quotes. I would actually suggest both people tattoo that same quote.
And of course this lost wouldn’t be complete without a Deathly Hallows tattoo. The back of the neck is one place I have in the past thought of tattooing, looks very tasteful, and it’s hidden enough that it can be my little secret for quite a while.
Do any of you have any Harry Potter tattoos? Let me know!
