Brownies are all time favourite of mine, no matter what time of the year, or the occasion, they are the perfect dessert. Achieving the perfect consistency although, can be a little tough, and if you’re like me and your perfect brownie is all fudgy on the inside, then stick with me on this recipe!
1 stick of butter
6 ounces/180g of bittersweet chocolate
1 cup and a half of sugar
1 quarter of a cup of dark chocolate powder
1 half a cup of flour
1 pinch of salt
Now let’s move on to the making off ours brownies.
First of all, we will melt our butter and bittersweet chocolate together. You can use your stove, or like me, use the microwave. Mix it all up together until well combined.
Now, we will add our sugar and mix it well together. I transferred my chocolate mix to another bigger bowel, and you should as well.
After the sugar, we will add our three eggs. As always mix well together.
For an extra chocolaty taste, we will use a bit of chocolate powder. I like using really dark one so my brownies look extra dark and taste extra delicious!
Finally we’re going to add the flour. I use only half a cup so my brownies stay chewy and fudgy.
To finish it off, I add a pinch of salt to bring out the chocolate flavour. You can also try adding a bit of coffee!
Now our mix is ready to go in the oven, all that’s left is put it in a pan of your choice.
I used this pan, and because the brownies would stick to it, I first butter it and then line it with parchment so it’s extra easy to take my brownies out.
All ready to go in the oven now!
I just preheat my oven to 350F/180ºC, and let them cook for around 30 minutes.
I like sticking a fork in the brownie before taking it out of the oven. If no cake mix comes with the fork, it’s ready!
